Bio
Erik Herbert graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1994. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1997. Upon graduation, Erik was employed as an Assistant District Attorney in Davidson County (Nashville) Tennessee where he successfully prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to felony death penalty. After his service at the District Attorney’s Office, Erik began representing criminal clients at the law firm of Funk and Kay alongside the current Davidson County District Attorney, Glenn Funk. For over twenty years, Mr. Herbert has represented criminal defendants in both State and Federal Court in crimes ranging from misdemeanors such as DUI to felony cases including complicated drug conspiracies and homicide.
Erik has practiced all across Tennessee and is licensed to practice in all three Federal districts in the state. Erik believes it is an honor and a privilege to be trusted with representing a client in a criminal matter and is committed to representing his clients zealously throughout the legal process. He understands how important it is to have a lawyer who believes in the client and his cause and he is committed to getting the best result possible in every case. Erik is married and lives with his three children in Nashville.
